About Us

17th Avenue Elle is a community of aromatic and therapeutic products curated with individuals living with mental health issues specifically in mind. As a survivor of childhood sexual & physical abuse, and subsequent trauma, LaRonda experienced a debilitating breakdown in March of 2012 where she was later diagnosed with PTSD, panic, and anxiety disorders.

After years of simply surviving she understands that there often isn't a one-way road to healing, but rather a well-worn trail with many paths; some with more difficult terrain than others. As a lover of candles, LaRonda discovered the flickering flame of a beautiful candle can be a safe space on your journey when scents are carefully curated to invoke positive thoughts and discourage *triggers.  

On the "Avenue," you'll find pleasant & subtle, warm & reflective, beautiful & affirming, and other "fragrance residents" housed in beautiful vessels carefully chosen to reflect strength in fragility.
